Yacht Club of Sea Isle City

Chelsey and Adam had known each other since middle school, but despite having many classes together throughout the years, they never really met until their senior year of high school in 2006. The couple met on Halloween night after going trick-or-treating with a group of friends. Adam was dressed as a nerd, but that must've had a charming effect on Chelsey, because the rest is history. As Chelsey puts it, "We truly are the best of friends."
On December 26, 2014 the couple planned a trip to New York City to go sightseeing at Christmastime. Their first stop was at Central Park. While there, Chelsey felt a nice, warm thump on her head... bird poop. Lovely! Adam assured her it was good luck and they quickly moved on to their next stop, Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree. As the couple was taking pictures, Adam suddenly reached in his coat and pulled out a ring. Without hesitation, Chelsey said yes! Guess Adam was right about good luck coming her (and his) way.
Wedding planning was very fun for Chelsey and Adam, and they were already interested many local vendors. Chelsey and Adam both grew up in Cape May County near the ocean, so it was no surprise when they chose to get married at a venue by the sea. From the moment the couple stepped into the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City for the first time, they knew that was it. It was right on the water and had the perfect view. While Chelsey found her fairytale gown out of the county, Adam and the guys purchased their tuxes at another local vendor, Tesi Bridal & Formal. Chelsey and Adam chose dark gray tuxes with a light blue Capri vest, perfect for a wedding on the water. “We had looked at going to one of the larger tux chains, but Tesi felt more personalized and attentive to our needs,” says Chelsey.
Chelsey and Adam's wedding day was a very special date for the two, for they said "I Do" on their ninth anniversary. Interested guests were transported to the Yacht Club in style by the Atlantic City Jitney Association to witness Chelsey and Adam’s beautiful exchange of vows. The jitney also did a “guys” trip and a “girls” trip for the bridal party.
Chelsey and Adam’s glamorous beach theme with lots of sea shells and sparkles came to life at the Yacht Club with the DIY decorations they had worked so hard on. "Everything we had been planning for the past 15 months was finally here,” shares Chelsey. The Yacht Club’s event coordinator was there every step of the way to make sure Chelsey and Adam’s day was everything they dreamed of. Guests enjoyed incredible food, with appetizers consisting of lollipop lamb chops, filet wrapped artichokes, scallops wrapped in bacon, mini hotdogs and more, and dinner choices being filet mignon, sea scallops or salmon. A Piece of Cake provided a sweet ending with a four-tier cake alternating between chocolate cake with cheesecake filling and wedding cake flavor with strawberry filling, plus cheesecake bites and chocolate covered strawberries!
