Kelly and Tim met in Ocean City, Kelly's hometown, during the summer of 2010. Tim grew up in Cinnaminson, N.J., but he and his friends were visiting Ocean City for the week when the two met. One night during the guys' stay, Kelly and a couple of girlfriends, whom she met in college at Rowan University and are also from Cinnaminson, went over to the house Tim and his friends were renting for the week. One of Kelly's girlfriends happened to be the sister of Tim's best friend (and future best man).
When Kelly was first introduced to Tim, she wanted nothing to do with him. At the end of the night, he asked for Kelly's phone number, but she told him she wasn't interested.
The following summer, the guys were back in Ocean City for another week-long stay. Although a year later, Tim hadn't forgotten about Kelly, and this year decided to invite her to go off-roading in his jeep. Kelly accepted, and she and Tim climbed into his jeep without a roof or doors. Little did they know, it was a supermoon and high tide was near. As they started their trek down the dirt road, the two talked and laughed. But all of the sudden, Tim became quiet, and Kelly thought she may have said something wrong. She then realized why he stopped talking: The road was flooded with over two feet of water! Once they were able to get to higher ground, Tim was back to himself and Kelly was relieved. She ended up loving every minute of the ride.
From that night on, Kelly and Tim dated through the summer of 2011 and realized they had quite a lot in common. The two have been inseparable ever since.
Four years later on June 6, 2015, Tim arranged for a double date night with Kelly, Kelly's best friend and her boyfriend. They went out to one of their favorite restaurants on the bay. After dinner, Tim drove everyone out to the back bay of Corson’s Inlet State Park, another favorite spot of Kelly and Tim’s. At sunset, Tim dropped down on one knee and asked Kelly to marry him. Of course, Kelly said yes! Afterward, the newly engaged couple popped champagne and celebrated with their friends and family.
Kelly did most of the wedding planning, and the couple worked together on various DIY projects. Kelly loves soft, neutral colors, so she and Tim decided on a romantic, coastal, chic feel. She was very inspired by her love for nature, especially the ocean/bay and wildlife. Kelly worked with her sister-in-law who is a graphic designer to design all of the calligraphy for the invites, table menus and signs.
On the big day, Kelly got ready with her bridesmaids at her childhood home in Ocean City and Tim got ready with his groomsmen at a hotel also in Ocean City. Kelly’s stunning Maggie Sottero gown from Wedding Belles Boutique sparkled with its Swarovski crystals and sequin accents as the couple said "I Do.” They celebrated afterward with friends and family at the Ocean City Yacht Club, overlooking the bay. "It was hands down one of the best nights of our lives!" Kelly says.
