Jimmy and Liz used their wedding as an opportunity to show off their favorite place, Ocean City. N.J. Ocean City has been Liz’s family’s favorite beach destination, as they spend each summer enjoying all that makes Ocean City wonderful. Jimmy’s family, being from Ohio, had never visited the Jersey Shore. Jimmy and Liz were married in Ocean City and it did not disappoint.
Jimmy and Liz met where they currently reside, in the Washington, D.C. area. Within the first month of dating, Jimmy relocated back to Ohio for work and they began their first stint of a long distance relationship. Jimmy eventually moved back to the D.C. area, but deployed about a year later. After finally spending a few years together in the same town, Jimmy proposed to Liz while on vacation in Jamaica.
The couple knew they wanted to get married in Ocean City and about a month later, they booked their venue, The Flanders Hotel. Wedding planning was fairly easy because of their fantastic vendors and their wedding day was nothing short of amazing.
“Karen Bergman, the wedding planner at The Flanders Hotel, is the most efficient person we’ve ever met,” Liz said. “Karen made everything go so smoothly and was a joy to work with.”
The weather was shaky on the couple’s wedding day. The Flanders and Karen went above and beyond to attempt an outdoor ceremony, but brought everything indoors at the last moment. They were so flexible and willing to help. The set up was absolutely beautiful. The Flanders’ catering was delicious and the cocktails were incredible
Jimmy & Liz couldn’t have been happier with their wedding day and the beautiful photos will make the memories last a lifetime. Their wedding video was wonderful and they will enjoy their special day for years to come.
