Willow Creek Winery

June 3, 2023

Imagine a vineyard with climbing vines and plush greenery, neatly spaced and manicured as the sun sets in the distance against a backdrop of blue sky. Most likely your mind would travel to images of Southern California or France.

The charm of Willow Creek Winery in Cape May is its ability to take any wedding and transport it to the vineyards of Italy or California without ever having to leave the east coast.

When Danielle and Sean Reilly were looking for a venue, it was Danielle’s love of Cape May that brought them down to the southern part of the state.

“When I first started dating Sean, I was so excited to share my love of Cape May with him. He instantly fell in love with its charm as well.”

During one of her family’s visits to the area, they discovered Willow Creek Winery.

“After seeing the stunning landscape of the vineyard, beautiful wood beams and bar, and the gorgeous imported chandeliers, my sister immediately joked that I should get married there one day,” Danielle fondly recalled.

Willow Creek Winery offers gorgeous grounds and amenities for each part of the wedding celebration, whether engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties or rehearsal dinners, and for the wedding day itself, with ceremony, cocktail hour and reception locations on site.

The multi-faceted venue makes life easy for the bride and groom by allowing them to work with one team, rather than piecing together different locations for different parts of the wedding.

The winery’s beautiful vineyard vistas, as well as the dining menu options, reflect the location’s commitment to sustainable agriculture. Willow Creek’s catering team sources all ingredients, whenever possible, from local New Jersey farms, including their sister property, LeGates Farm, a 65-acre farm located minutes away.

Willow Creek hopes guests will enjoy both the beauty of the farm and their agricultural product: savory wines. From beef and seafood to premium wines, the catering team incorporates the finest local ingredients into a bride and groom’s chosen menu.

“The food was awesome,” Danielle said. “Our guest raved about it.”

Whether hosting a smaller wedding or a larger event with more than 300 people, Willow Creek Winery’s events team stays with the bride and groom for the entirety of their wedding journey, working hard and with care to ensure they have the event they imagined.

Danielle and Sean tied the knot outside next to the winery’s sprawling vineyards in June of 2023.

“The ceremony was so airy, with the beautiful vineyard as our backdrop,” Danielle reminisced.

“The most special moment for me was when we were saying our vows,” she recalled. “It had been cloudy all day, but just as we started reading them, the sun came out. As soon as we kissed, it went back to being cloudy and remained like that for the rest of the day. Everyone noticed it and I know in my heart, it was my Dad who had passed away when I was 17, making it known that he was there and celebrating with us.”
