It was love at first sight for Tom and Jackie, who met at a friend’s birthday at a nightclub in North Wildwood. After that night, everything just worked out between Tom and Jackie. They tell the joke that they literally “found love in a hopeless place.”

Tom and Jackie are both teachers who spend their summers in Wildwood, working at restaurants. In 2016, Tom and Jackie moved to their new home in Merchantville. Their home is their favorite place to be together, it was only fitting that Tom proposed to her there. It was his turn for date night, so he asked Jackie to get ready to go out to the city. Tom asked Jackie to bring down his watch that he left upstairs. Jackie came back down to find Tom on one knee, with a bouquet of roses in one hand and a ring in the other.

Tom and Jackie wanted to get married soon. Jackie’s mom was driving down the shore when she noticed a sign for Meadow Creek Farm Wedding and Events. As soon as Jackie and Tom pulled into the driveway, they knew it was the place. When Tom and Jackie took a tour, their guide had them visualize what would take place on their wedding day. It was everything they wanted in a place and more! It was a mostly outside venue, rustic, unique, by the shore, horse farm. Tom wanted a unique wedding and he loves horses.

The week leading up to the wedding, rain was a worry – but it would not stop Jackie and Tom from a fun and crazy rehearsal. The morning of the wedding, it was so windy they had to move their ceremony outside to the stable, instead of by the lake. The farm family did everything they could to make sure Jackie and Tom’s day was what they wanted and it was just that. Jitney provided a smooth ride in comfort and style for wedding goers!

Before the ceremony, Jackie and Tom got the chance to walk around. The placement of everything was exactly how they wanted it. Guests were able to walk through the stable, pet the horses and arrive at the bar on the other end. The sunflower bouquets from Marie’s Flower Shoppe were a unique touch which blended seamlessly with the wedding venue. Next to the bar was a huge, heated tent where the reception was held. Outside the tent was a fire pit made out of a wine barrel. The venue’s vast amount of land allowed for a floor plan layout to suit their wedding needs. Jackie and Tom were so happy Jackie’s mom stumbled upon Meadow Creek Farms.
